Interment will follow at Kings Cemetery near Wisner, Louisiana under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home. The Lord called her home on June 4, 2013. She was a lifetime member of Kings Pentecostal Church. She devoted her life to her family, church, neighbors, friends and to Jesus Christ. She enjoyed traveling, going to camp meetings, shopping and visiting family members. She was an excellent seamstress, exceptionally great cook, a green-thumb gardener and was well-known for her unconditional love and support of children. She was happiest when she was dressed in her Sundays best wearing her favorite hat and surrounded by the ones she loved. She was born to the union of Alpha (Sis) Roberts and Henry Cooper on December 24, 1921, in or near Wisner, Louisiana. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of forty-two years, William Jackson (Jack) Roberts; sisters: Estelle Cooper Boothe and Elaine Cooper; brothers: Rev. Travis Henry Cooper, Sr., and Rev. Donny Herman Cooper; sons: Jackie Dee Roberts and Travis Eugene Ivy. She is survived by her sons: Raymond Roberts and wife, Charlotte of Boca Raton, Florida; Mark Roberts and wife Teri of Wisner, Louisiana; daughter: Norma Nielson and her husband Greg of Billings, Montana. Grandchildren: Riley Dee Roberts and wife, Lori; Robbie Damon Roberts and wife, Alyssa; Ahren Roberts and wife Randi; Jordan Roberts, Roland Iverson and wife, Terrie, Todd Iverson, and Kendall Iverson. Great Grandchildren: Makenzie Rose, Riley Jackson, Angelica Pearl Roberts, and Ava and Gracie Leonard, all of Boca Raton, Florida. Tara and Teagan Roberts, of Wisner, Louisiana. Sisters: Katie C. Crain of Winnsboro, Louisiana; Doretta C. Boothe and Nobie C. Rowley of Harrisonburg, Louisiana. Brother-in-Law: Dennis Roberts and wife, Joyce; sisters-in-laws: Neva, Margaret, and Sue Roberts, all of Wisner, Louisiana. Honorary Pallbearers: Dennis Roberts, Katie Ruth Gordon, Roland Iverson, Sally Roberts and all the ladies of Kings Pentecostal Church. Pallbearers: Leo Boothe, Floyd Roberts, Jr. Chester Cooper, Jordan Roberts, Stephen Paul Smith, Joey Oliver, Cody Shipley and Ricky Roberts.

Johnny Hankins and John Sartin officiating. Interment will follow in Chase Cemetery under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home. Mr. Hollis was born May 29, 1924, in Bernice to the union of Jesse James and Mattie Blanche Gresham Hollis, and passed from this life on February 15, 2015, in Bossier City. Mr. Hollis was a member of Winnsboro First United Methodist Church. He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran serving in World War II and the Korean War. After graduating from Louisiana Tech University, he coached and taught at Farmerville and Mangham High schools. He later taught at Winnsboro Elementary and coached Dixie Youth Baseball in Winnsboro. During his time at Louisiana Tech, Mr. Hollis played baseball. He also played semi-pro baseball for the Winnsboro Red Sox in the 1940s. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and playing golf, and he was the first member of Twin Oaks Country Club in Winnsboro. He is preceded in death by his parents Jim and Blanche Hollis; two wives: Rogenia Price Hollis and Martha Pace Browning Hollis; son Jesse James Hollis, Jr.; stepdaughter M’ Lou Browning Giese. Survivors include his children: Tom Hollis and wife Paige of Ruston, Pat Hollis and wife Joan of Baskin, Susan Boothe and husband Johnny of Winnsboro, Mary Green and husband David of Shreveport; grandchildren: Marshall Hollis and wife Erin, Harper Hollis, Allie Hollis, Matthew Hollis, Erin Hollis, Mary Dunn and husband Christian, Will Boothe, Jim Boothe, Susan Green and Ben Green; three sisters: Mary Carpenter of Ruston, Martha Alexander of Minden, Helen Hall of Dubach; step-children: Bates Browning and wife Jeanne of Zachary and Amy Banks and husband Jerry of Athens, Texas; two sisters-in-law: Lena Price and Louie Bess Myers; two great- grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends. Grandsons will be serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Men’s Bible Class of First United Methodist Church. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Jeff Combetta and staff; Franklin Medical Center Staff; Dr. Andrew Utter, Dr. Scott Boniol, Dr. Roscoe Chan, Northwest Louisiana War Veterans Home, Elcena Pegues and Bobby Collins, V. A. Veterans Counselor.
