John Albright officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery near Baskin, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. Baskin was a retired farmer and passed away on January 29, 2009. He was a lifelong member and Elder of Union Presbyterian Church, lifelong farmer, a veteran of the Korean War Era, and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Baskin was preceded in death by his wife; Juanita “PeeWee” Baskin and sister; Dixie Baskin Jackson. Survivors include: Son: George Robert Baskin and wife Cindy. Daughters: Julie Anita Baskin and Jennifer McBroom and husband Andy. Step-daughter: Debbie Hastings. Loving Companion: Libby Cummings. Grandchildren: Ryan Baskin, Robert Baskin, Sarah Baskin, Laura Baskin, Ashli Price, and Isaac McBroom. Step-grandchildren: Neal Hixon, Shane Hixon, Shannon Beavers, Nicole Anderson, Teresa Abrams, Wade Fleming, Jena Gray, Cody Fleming, Thomas Lee Fleming, Stormy Fleming, and Derrick Fleming. Numerous Nieces and Nephews. Pallbearers will be: Larry Jackson, Bruce Jackson, Tony Jackson, Brad Jackson, Don Smith, and Doug Tannehill. Honorary Pallbearer: Delmus Sinclair.
