Keith Patrick Batey
 
Funeral services for Keith Patrick Batey, 25, of Wisner were 
held Sunday at First Baptist Church of Wisner with the Rev. 
Thomas Pope officiating.
 
Interment followed at holly Grove Cemetery near Wisner 
under the direction of Riser First National Funeral Home of 
Winnsboro.
 
Mr. Batey was born December 27, 1974, in West Monroe 
and died Friday, October 27, 2000, near Sicily Island, 
from injuries received in an automobile accident.  He was 
a member of Wisner First Baptist Church.  He was an avid 
hunter and fisherman, and a football fan.  Keith was 
employed with Sicily Island Gravel Company for many years.
 
Survivors include his parents, Ken And Charlotte Batey of
Wisner; sister, Julie Smith and husband Darian; grandmother
Mary Wilson of Sicily Island; two nieces, Lindsey Ferrington 
and Meagan Smith; numerous aunts, uncles and other 
relatives and friends.
 
Pallbearers were Jason King, Dustin Brister, Chris Brister, 
Mike Batey, Randy Braswell, Zane Roberts and Guy Barfield.
