Friday at Crowville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Joe Rountree officiating. Interment followed at the Crowville Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mrs. Biggs died Wednesday, November 15, 2000 at Franklin Medical Center. She was born July 10, 1912 in Wyville, Arkansas to the union of Ida Newsom Guyton and Dr. E. W. Guyton. Mrs. Biggs graduated from Normal College and taught school for 33 years in Franklin Parish school system. She was a member of Crowville Methodist Church and of Delta Kappa Gamma Soriety. Mrs. Biggs was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 58 years, Cecil W. Biggs, and a brother, Glen Guyton. Survivors include a daughter and a son-in-law Susan and Hunter Etheridge of Crowville; two grandchildren, Donna and husband Mike Collins of Crowville; Sheila and Ricky Blackman of Crowville; two brothers, Edley Guyton of Crowville; Billie Guyton of Crystal Springs, Mississippi; five great-grandchildren, Amanda Collins, Emily Collins, Megan Collins, Justin Collins and Kaynon Blackmon all of Crowville. Pallbearers were Dwaine Tharpe, Dale Etheridge, Brad Etheridge, Artie Carter, Bobby Cox, Mike Woods, Jay Neal and Jeff Collins.
