Funeral services for Sarah J. Brass, 89, of Houston, Texas, formerly of 
Wisner were held Saturday at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Wisner with 
the Rev. Amos Heckard officiating.

Interment followed in Holly Grove Cemetery near Wisner under the direction of 
Richardson and Sims Funeral Home of Winnsboro.

Mrs. Brass died April 22, 2000 in Houston, Texas.

Survivors include four daughters, Naomi Lilly, Ruth Faddis, Mary Brass, Barbara 
Brass all of Houston; four sons, Johnny Brass, Roosevelt Brass, Larry Brass and
Murphy Brass all of Houston; three step-children, Queen Ester Davis of Dumas,
Arkansas; Aneta Upshaw and Levy Brass Jr. all of Oakland, California and 34
grandchildren.

Grandsons served as pallbearers.
