Willie T. Goree officiating. Interment followed in Richwood Memorial Cemetery in Monroe under the direction of Richardson and Sims Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. Brothers died Saturday, November 27, 1999 at North Monroe Hospital following a lengthy illness. Survivors include eight daughters, Willie Mae Mitchell, Monroe; Nancy Bennett, Sandra Washington, both of Winnsboro, Barbara Pleasant, Bloomington, Illinois; Donna Pleasant, Denham Springs, La.; Barbara Washington, West Monroe; Ruthie Lee Matlock and Lula Mae Matlock, both of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; five sons, Donald Ray Brothers and Albert Smith, both of Dallas, Texas; Henry Clay Washington, Monroe; Charles Washington, Columbia, La.; Henry Brothers, Jr, Pine Bluff, Arkansas; five sisters, Flossie Davis, Beanna Davis, Ophelia Smith all of Monroe; Elnora Williams, Winnsboro; Dorothy Mae Davis, Los Angeles, Calif.; four brothers: Isaac Lee Brothers, Detroit, Michigan; Sam Brothers, Caleb Brothers, and L.C. Brothers all of St. Louis, Missouri; 46 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Michael Jenkins, Danny Goree, Marcus Guillory, J.B. Bennett III, Wilber Laners and Peter Perkins.
