Milton Williams, the Rev. Don Blackmon and the Rev. Herschel Clanton officiating. Interment followed in Oakley Cemetery near Gilbert under the direction of Riser First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mrs. Burlew died Sunday, February 13, 2000 at Franklin Medical Center. She was a member of Jigger Church of God, and attended Fort Neccessity Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, F. W. Burlew. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Maxine and J.D. Pippins of Jigger; one son and daughter-in-law, A.J. and Elizabeth Burlew of Swartz; six grandchildren: Janet and Gary Ferrington of Jigger; Don and Anita Pippins of Kingwood, Texas; David and Julie Pippins of Jacksonville, Florida; John and Johnnie Burlew of Monroe; Julie and Billy Wyatt of Bossier City; Jason and Lesia Pippins of West Monroe; nine great-grandchildren and four great-great- grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Charles Dixon, Ralph Easterling, Charles Ray Murray, Floyde Richardson, W. L. Robbins, Sonny West, Carey Winters and J. C. Winters. Honoary pallbearers were Charles Winters and Coy Winters.
