Mathew Burnett

Funeral services for Mathew Burnett, 90 of Wisner will be Thursday at 
11a.m. at New Light Baptist Church of Wisner with the Rev. Dennis Bailey
officiating.
Interment will follow in Holly Grove Cemetery under the direction of
Richardson and Sims Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Visitation will be today (Wednesday) March 8, from noon to 6 p.m. in the
funeral chapel and at the church on Thursday from 10:30 until service time.
Mr. Burnett died Saturday, March 4, 2000 in Baker, Louisiana, after a
brief illness.
Survivors include his wife, Rosie Burnettof Wisner, 10 daughters; Adell
Douglas, Bobbie Jackson, Lueresa Barber, Blanche Lee, Jacquelyn Blaney, 
Helen Dahmen, Lessie Freeman, Katie Burnett, Flora Burnett and Rosie
Medley;four sons; Carl Burnett,  Chester Burnett, Samuel Burnett and Roosevelt
Burnett;two sisters, Helen Meredith and  Alberta Brass; and one brother, Vernon
Burnett; 26 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
