Katie Hester Fisher
 
Funeral services  for Katie Hester Fisher, 89, of West Monroe were held June 3,
at the Apostolic Church of the Lord Jesus Christ  with  the Rev. David Mixon and the
Rev. Greg Nichols officiating.
 
Interment followed in Riverview Cemetery in Monroe under the direction of Kilpatrick 
Funeral Home of West Monroe.
 
Mrs Fisher was born October 20, 1910 and died June 1, 2000 in West Monroe.  She 
was a homemaker.
 
Mrs. Fisher was preceded in death by her husband, A.E. Fisher Sr., a son, A.E.Fisher 
Jr., and a granddaughter.
 
Survivors include three daughters, Katie Mae Coley and Dovie Brister both of West 
Monroe;  Annie L. Bedgood of Tallulah; two brothers, Ed Mercer and Wesley Mercer 
both of West Monroe;  three sisters, Clemmie Thacker of Houston, Texas;  Sara 
Purvis of Baskin; Betty Norwood of Gilbert;  11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 
and seven great-great-grandchildren.
