Harrison Thomas officiating. Interment followed at Ward Bend Cemetery under the direction of Richard- son Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mrs. Giles died Monday, September 11, 2000 at her residence in Winnsboro following an extended illness. She was a homemaker Survivors include a daughter, Franklie Heard of Winnsboro; sons, Leddell Howard of Benicia, California; Searcy Giles, Oakland, Calif.; Leroy Giles and Hugh L. Giles both of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sisters, Huldia Bowie of San Francisco, Calif.; Bertha Teats of Winnsboro; Emily Johnson of Monroe; brothers, Jubie Singleton of Wheaton, Illinois; Huey P. Singleton of Pass Christian, Mississippi; Henry C. Singleton of Long Beach, Calif.; 21 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Anthony Coleman, Mack J. Coleman, Vernon Foy, Vincent Giles, Steven Giles, Dexter Howard, Darrell Poe and Daryll Righteous.
