"Red" Greer Funeral services for James W. "Red" Greer, 77, of Crowville were held Saturday at the Community Memorial Chapel with the Rev. C.T. Smith and the Rev. Fobi Finley officiating. Interment followed at Crowville Masonic cemetery under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. Greer died Thursday, July 13, 2000 at his residence in Crowville. He was a retired school bus driver and farmer. He was preceded in death by three sons, Lloyd Greer, Ralph Greer, and James Ray Greer. Survivors include his wife, Mildred Greer of Crowville; children, Helen Tucker of Gilbert; Francis Redford of Mer Rouge; Mary Armstrong of South Carolina; step-children, Sue Hodges of Bossier City; Dorothy Mitchell of Crowville; Marvin Glen Cain of Texas; Betty Ann Eukes and Glenda Nell Rash both of Tallulah; Ruthie Brown of Greenville, Mississippi; sisters, Lorraine Roberts of Monroe; Thelma Wallace of Crowville; brothers, Henry Greer of Crowville; Elmer Greer of West Monroe; also 12 grandchildren, a host of step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Paul Tucker, Kenny Wallace, James Russell Greer, Craig Greer, Bruce Wallace and Charles Misits. Honorary pallbearers were Mike Burch, James Roberts, Rev. Bobby Arnold, Chad Wallace, Billy Wayne Tucker, Jerry Armstrong, Steven Armstrong and Anthony Armstrong.
