Archie Johnston
Funeral services for Archie Johnston, 82, of Winnsboro were held
Monday at New Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Neal Fryer and
the Rev. Robbie Robison officiating.
Interment followed at New Zion Cemetery under the direction of 
Community Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Mr. Johnston died Friday, March 24, 2000 at Franklin Guest Home 
after an extended Illness.  He was a native and resident of Franklin 
Parish, retired farmer and member of New Zion Baptist Church. He
was preceded in death by a son Dennis Johnston.
Survivors include his wife, Doris D. Johnston of Winnsboro; children
Nelda Henson of Jackson, Mississippi; Billy Ray Johnston and Mark
Johnston both of Winnsboro; sisters, Katie Smith of Shreveport;
Rosie Pryon of Beaumont, Texas; 10 grandchildren, seven great-
grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Wesley Johnston, Russell Johnston, Jamie Southern,
Wayne Bruce, Jerry McCain and Bill Brown.
