John Johnston
 
Funeral services for John Johnston, 78, of Epps were held 
Friday, April 21, 2000, at New Hope Church of God, near Darnell, 
Louisiana with the Rev. Ernest Winburn and the Rev. Harold Spillers 
officiating.
 
Burial followed in Unity Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Holley
Funeral Home.
 
Mr. Johnston died Tuesday, April 18, 2000.  He was a Member of 
New Hope Church of God, and the National Rifle Association.  He 
was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Savannah Crawford Johnston.
 
Survivors include Daughter, Brenda McManus of Rayville, La.; sons,
Bud Johnston of Epps; Steve Johnston of Denver, Colorado; sister,
Lucille Boleman of Shreveport; brothers, H.P. "Son" Johnston and Oscar
Johnston both of Epps; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and 
a host of nieces and nephews.
 
Pallbearers were Dewayne Duckworth, Mitchell Rawls, J.P. Johnston,
Huey Allen Johnston, Dennis Williams and Ronnie Johnston.
