Mr. Jordan died Wednesday, January 26, 2000 at Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge. Mr Jordan was a member of the Clinton Church of Christ, a retired farmer and native of England, Arkansas. He had been a resident of Clinton, Tenn. since 1994. He was a Navy Combat Veteran during the Korean conflict. Among his medals and citations were Presidential Unit Citation, Special commendation from his commanding officer for Superior Performance of Duty, Service Medal with two bronze stars and a China Foreigh Service Medal. Mr. Jordan was elected and served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Franklin Parish School Board in Winnsboro. He was a former member of the Arkansas Officials Association. Mr Jordan was preceded in death by his parents, Manley and Thelma Jordan; a brother, Milford Jordan. Survivors include his wife Catherine "Dusenbery" Jordan of Clinton; son, Dr. Manley M. Jordan of Oak Ridge; daughter, Sharon Joy Jordan Lee of Winnsboro; sister,Jackie Yarbrough of Winnsboro; brothers, Glen Jordan, Harold Jordan and Travis Jordan all of England, Arkansas; two grandsons.
