Don Smith and the Rev. David Mayo officiating. Ms. Kenney was born on October 29, 1959 in Columbia and died Tuesday, September 12, 2000 in New Orleans. She was a field staffing specialist with Johnson Controls and a graduate of Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe. Ms. Kenney was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Olin and Ila Rucker; paternal grandfather, Luther J. "Bud" Kenney; and two uncles. Survivors include her fiancee' of 11 years, Raymond Townsend of New Orleans; her father, Rep. Lelon Kenney and his wife Loretta Kenney of Columbia; her mother, Syble Rucker Crain and her husband, Dallas Crain of Mangham; her grandmother, Lucille Kenney of Columbia; sister Sherry Kenney of Columbia; one niece and a host of other relatives, friends and business associates. Pallbearers were Wilber Rucker, Jerry Cooper, Danny Hall, Jimmy Dee Kenney, John Rider, Russell Townsend and Robin Townsend. Honorary pallbearers were employees of Johnson Controls.
