Knox Jr. Funeral services for G.P. Knox Jr., 66, of Jonesville were held Monday at the Community Memorial Chapel with Bro. Stan Fortenberry and Bro. Danny Johnston officiating. Interment followed at Heard Cemetery under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. Knox died Sunday, June 11, 2000 at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday after an extended illness. He was a native of Franklin Parish, resident of Catahoula Parish, craftsman, served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Jigger Church of Christ. Mr. Knox was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, two grandchildren, two sisters and a brother. Survivors include his wife, Mary C. Knox of Jonesville; children, Lynn Knox and James Knox both of Thibodaux; Darla Little and Lisa Clay both of Jonesville; sisters, Gussie Collins of Gilbert, Portia Pearrow of Columbia; Cybil Harris of Jigger; brothers, Asa Knox of Jigger; and L.D. Knox of Winnsboro; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Charles Dixon, Norman Ferrington, Galen Collins, Barry Knox, Perry Knox and Dee Satcher.
