Lorin W. Laeger Funeral services for Rev. Lorin W. Laeger, 79, of Aurora were held Thursday in the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Barry Williams officiating. Interment followed in Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora under the direction of Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home. Rev. Laeger was born January 22, 1921 in Cortland, Nebraska. He was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II, a part-time minister at the Liberty Church, a member of Aurora Lions Club, Masonic Lodge # 129 of Monett, a life member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity and was past district governor. Mr. Laeger served the Presbyterian Churches in Baskin, Union, and Winnsboro as pastor from 1977 until his retirement in 1982. During that time he was an active member of the Winnsboro Lion's Club. He passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2000 at St. John's Regional Health Center following a short illness. He was preceded in death by a son, William E. "Eddie" Laeger. Survivores include his wife, Gail Weaver Laeger; two daughters, Lorinda Walter of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; Ginger Garner of Aurora; two sons, Gary Galloway of Cape Fair, Missouri; Tory Galloway of Bentonville, Arkansas; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lorene Klein of Shawnee Mission, Kansas; Evelyn Lund, Great Bend, Kansas; and Laverna Cavender of Springfield, Missouri.
