Mack Walker, the Rev. James Taylor, the Rev. Karen Rogers, the Rev. John Flemming and the Rev. Don Blackmon officiating. Interment followed at Turkey Creek Cemetery under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mrs. Leake died Thursday, August 3, 2000 at Franklin Medical Center. She was a resident of Franklin Parish, a homemaker and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her father, Earl McManus and daughter, Chelsey McManus Leake. Survivors include her husband, Michael E. Leake of Winnsboro; mother, Elizabeth "Jayce" McManus of Winnsboro; daughter, Mallory Leake of Winnsboro; sister, Brenna Payne of Winnsboro; brothers, Chad McManus and Brad McManus both of Winnsboro; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Pallbearers were Todd Guimbellot, David Guimbellot, Jeff Collins, Danny Payne, Wade Thompson, Frank Poulos, Nick Poulos, Ricky Slaughter, Mike Curtis, Brian Powers, Gerald Slaughter and Joe Crum.
