Cause of death was given by a physician as a heart attack. Mr. Lewis had been brought home from work at 11:30 when he became overheated. He was working with the Inter-State Gas company on a pipe line where it crosses the Fort Necessity highway four miles from Winnsboro. He had been employed by the company for more than 18 years. Time of the funeral has not been set, but will be in the Brown-Young funeral home chapel, where the body will remain until time of the services. Interment will be in the new Winnsboro cemetery. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Laura Lewis Sr., Winnsboro; two sons, J. W.Lewis, JR., of Monroe and Marion Richardson Lewis with the Air Force on Okinawa; two sisters, Mrs. Lettie Howard and Mrs. L.C. Sharp both of Winnsboro, LA; one granddaughter, Miss Sylvia Lewis of Bastrop. Pallbearers will be Ray Jones, I. D. Parker, J. B. Dixon, B.A. Fisher, Floyd Brown, J M Adams, John Wooldridge ad Ed Lohan. Jack Coughran has been named as Honorary pallbearer.
