"Mike" Loflin Sr. Funeral services for William H. "Mike Loflin Sr., 78, of Winnsboro were held Thursday at the Community Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Cable, Dr. Milton Williams and the Rev. Darin Dodd officiating. Interment followed at Ogden Cemetery under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. Loflin died Tuesday, October 17, 2000 at Richardson Medical Center in Rayville. He was a native and resident of Franklin Parish, retired farmer and a member of the Baptist faith. He shared almost 50 years of his life with his wife the late Rebecca Loflin. He loved so much his family, children and grandchildren. Mr. Loflin served with the U.S. Army during WW II. He was a member of Winnsboro VFW Lodge. Survivors include his children, Pat Loflin and Bill Loflin both of Winnsboro; Martha Seward of Nyssa, Oregon; brothers and sisters, Lovie Boutwell of Kingwood, Texas; Duane Smith of Monroe; Bill Loflin of Tallulah; Jacob Loflin of Winnsboro; Evis West of Monroe; and Raymond Loflin of Arkansas; also seven grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Thomas Smith, Bill York, Mike Smith, Jimmy Smith, Donald Boutwell and Mickey Loflin. Honorary pallbearers were Carl Smith, Jerry York and Durham Erskin.
