Bennie Jones officiating. Interment followed at Twin Cities Memorial Gardens in West Monroe, under the direction of Riser First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. McBroom was born September 2, 1943 in West Monroe and died Friday, October 13, 2000 in Monroe after a brief illness. He was a member of Faith Tabernacle and was owner/operator of McBroom Mobile Home Movers, having been in the business for 30 years. Survivors include his wife, Lavenia McBroom of West Monroe; three children, Sheila Sweet of Riverdale, California; Mark McBroom of Reno, Neveda; Michael McBroom of Memphis, Tennessee; two step-children, Daphne Green and husband Perry and Tonya Turnage all of Rocky Branch; nine grandchildren; six sisters, Virginia Stevens and Doris Lee both of West Monroe; Joyce Albritton of Monroe; Shirley Bacon of Southhaven, Mississippi; Frances Jo Dunn of Lakeland, Tennessee; Brenda Trisler of Start; two brothers, R.C. McBroom of Monroe; Bennie McBroom of West Monroe. Pallbearers were W. L. Albritton, Woodie Bacon, Bennie McBroom, R.C. McBroom, Jake Stevens and Ray Trisler.
