Emily M. McCarthy

Funeral services for Emily M. McCarthy, 80, were held Friday at New Hope
Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Roy Archer and the Rev. Kenny Patton
officiating.
Interment followed at New Pine Hill Cemetery under the direction of
Community Memorail Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Honorary clergy were the Rev. Sidney Fletcher and the Rev. John Bowman.
Mrs. McCarthy died Wednesday, February 2, 2000 at Franklin Medical Center 
after an extended illness.  She was a long time resident of Catahoula
Parish, a present resident of Mary Anna Nursing Home in Wisner, a homemaker and a charter
member of New Hope Pentecostal Church. 
Mrs. McCarthy is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie "Buddy"
McCarthy and a daughter, Shirley Faye McCarthy.
Survivors include a daughter, Pat Walker and husband Elbert of Sicily
Island; son, Bill McCarthy and wife Sharron of Sicily Island; brother Frank O. Mason
Sr. of Sicily Island; 
sister, Ida Patton of summitt, Mississippi; four grandchildren and seven
great-grandchildren;
nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Ken Batey, Dusty Bailey, Bobby MAson, Mitch Shirley,
Stacey McCarthy and Troy King.
Honorary pallbearers were Mark McCarthy, Dale Price, Sherman Ford, Jerry
Golmon, Rev. Chris Hamilton, Casey Week, Kenny Cowart, Sonny Pasey and Mike Walker.
