John H. McClure

Funeral services for John H. McClure, 55 of Jonesville were held
Tuesday at Sandy Lake Pente- costal Church.
Interment followed at Heard Cemetery under the direction of 
Community Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Mr. McClure died Sunday, January 23, 2000 at his residence after an 
extended illness.  He was a resident of Catahoula Parish, a member of 
Woodman of the World and of the Baptist faith.  He was a past member 
of the police jury  with Catahoula Parish, Dixie Youth baseball coach 
and Commisioner of the Jonesville Dixie Youth Baseball League.  
Mr. McClure was also an avid hunter and fisherman and an organizer for
many funds raised several charity organizations. Mr. McClure
was retired from the Mississippi River Corp.
Survivors include his wife, Doris R. McClure of Jonesville;  children, 
John H. McClure, Jr. of Jonesville; Charles L. McClure of Tomball, 
Texas;  sister, Donna McClure of Jonesville; brother,Michael Reppond 
of Fayette, Mississippi;  three grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Nephews served as pallbearers.
