Dorothy Ruth McKnight
 
Funeral services for Dorothy Ruth McKnight, 73, of Delhi were held Tuesday at Cox 
Funeral Home Chapel.
 
Interment followed in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe under the direction 
of Cox Funeral Home.
 
Mrs.  McKnight died Saturday, June 3, 2000.  She was preceded in death by a son, 
Tommy Dee McKnight, granddaughter, Shellia Margaurite McKnight; and parents, 
Walter Lee and Ollie Ophelia Higgins.
 
Survivors include her husband, Hoyt Clinton McKnight Sr. of Delhi; daughters, Shelia 
Lane McKnight of Fort Worth, Texas; Sherri McKnight Coleman of Marietta, Georgia; 
son Hoyt Clinton McKnight Jr. of Mantee, Mississippi; sisters, Robbie Raynes of 
Winnsboro; Bertha Sturdivant of Delhi; Dolly Mae Henry and Frances Bearden both of 
West Monroe; brother, Percy Higgins of Holly Ridge; and four grandchildren.
 
Pallbearers were David Sturdivant, Ken Sturdivant, Terry McKnight, Clayton Hopper, 
Willie A. "Bill" Tatum and Marion McIntyre.
