Charlie L. Moore Funeral services for Rev. Charlie L. Moore, 93, of West Monroe were held Thursday at Kilpatrick Funeral Homes of West Monroe. Interment followed at Roselawn Cemetery in Calhoun. Rev. Moore died Tuesday, January 18, 2000 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe. Rev. Moore pastured many Northeast Louisiana Churches during his 65 years of Ministry, but had lived in West Monroe and had been a member of Ridge Avenue Baptist Church since his retirement in 1971. Crockett Point Baptist Church of Crowville and Pinehurst Baptist Church of Ball were organized under his leadership. He was preceded in death by son Clarence Edward Moore; a grandson, Kerwin Odem; his parents, Walter and Mandy Moore; five brothers, Joe, Dobbie, Truett, Lawrence and Avery Moore; two sisters, Della Moore Malone and Annie Moore. Survivors include his wife of 76 years, Clara Mae Powell Moore of West Monroe; son Charles Wayne Moore of Bastrop; daughters Dorothy Spillers of West Monroe; Mary Lane of Jasper, Texas; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two brothers, Eddie Moore of Pineville; Wesley Moore of Ball. Pallbearers were grandsons and grandsons -in-law.
