Jerry Goodman officiating. Interment followed Monday at Memorial Cemetery in Raymondville, Texas. Mrs. Mulkey died Wednesday, July 12, 2000 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe after a brief illness. She was born July 28, 1940 in Raymondville, Texas, a resident of Franklin Parish, a homemaker and a member of Chase Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her father, Charlie Ray James and a brother Darrell Ray James. Survivors include her husband, William A. Mulkey of Delhi; daughter, Jennifer L. Mulkey of Monroe; sons Frederick W. Mulkey and Phillip R. Mulkey both of Delhi; mother, Pauline B. James of Elsa, Texas; brothers, Gary W. James of San Antonio, Texas; Dennis James and wife Kay of LaVilla, Texas; and Alan James of Elsa, Texas; sister Sheryl L. James of Edinburg, Texas; nieces, Stephanie A. James of Kingsville, Texas; Kristi N. James of LaVilla, Texas; also a loving family and a multitude of friends. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Jimmy Boudreaux, Dr. Blair Buckley, O.D. Johnson, Peyton Bonner, Brad Bruce, Britt Whitley, Scooter Meedlin and Kenneth Martin Jr.
