Floyd Hawthorne, the Rev. Mark Powell and the Rev. Bobby White officiating. Eulogy was given by Charles Buie. Interment followed at Ogden Cemetery under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mrs. Nichols died Wednesday, June 28, 2000 at Franklin Medical Center after an extended illness. She was a native and resident of Franklin Parish, retired office manager with Franklin Cotton Warehouse and member of First United Pentecostal Church of Winnsboro. She is preceded in death by her husband, R.L. "Nick" Nichols. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Becky Nichols of Winnsboro; sister, Laura Fay Russell of Winnsboro; grandson, Lane Nichols of Winnsboro; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Mary Davidson, Irma Burge, Juanita Nichols, J.C. and Bell Nichols, Alicie Ray and Colleen Nichols and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Michael Wright, Kyle Peoples, Harold Peoples, Grady Nichols, Boyce Stone, Ray Parks, Robert Parks and Ken Free. Honorary pallbearers were the Board of Directors of Franklin Cotton Warehouse.
