Parker Funeral services for Michael H. Parker, 36, of Baton Rouge were held Thursday at the First Pentecostal Church with the Rev. George Guy, Rev. Norris Poole and Rev. Gary Howington officiating. Interment followed at Oakley Cemetery under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. Parker died Monday, October 11, 1999 at his residence. He was a present resident of Baton Rouge, a data operator and attended the Pentecostal faith. He is preceded in death by his father J.E. Parker; and grandparents, Homer and Ruth Kenney Hodges; Jesse and Irma Parker. Survivors include his mother, Irene Hodges Parker, Vidalia, La.; brothers Gene and Rasty Parker, Denham Springs; also a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. Pallbearers were Guy Looper, Curtley Hayes II, J.L. Hodges II, Chauncie Fonville, Don Parker and Gary Parker. Honorary pallbearers were Rightor Cobb, Johnny Ready, Steve Broom, Troy Obourie, Peady Perilla, Brandon Fredrick, Todd Winborne and Kandi Salmon.
