"Chuck" Peters Funeral services for Charles R. "Chuck" Peters, 60, of Winnsboro will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Temple Baptist Church with Dr. Allan Miller and the Rev. Terry Ganey officiating. Interment will follow at Newton Cemetery under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. Peters died Saturday, April 8, 2000 at St. Mary's Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, after a sudden illness. He was a resident of Franklin Parish, line mechanic with Coca Cola Company, a member of Temple Baptist Church and a teacher with the New Beginnings Class. He is preceded in death by his father, James Peters and a brother, Shelby Peters. Survivors include his wife Stella Peters of Winnsboro; his mother, Louise Peters of Winnsboro; children, Richard Leon Peters, Sharron Marie Stewart, Connie Shirley Peters, all of Winnsboro; and Kathy Peters of Chicago, Illinois; brothers, James Peters of Pensacola, Florida; Kenneth Peters of Monroe; seven grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Larry Ellerman, James Bracken, Jerry Smith, Jackie Peoples, Sonny Hossy and Tommy Nelson. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the New Beginnings Class.
