Jerry C. Polk

Funeral services for Jerry C. Polk, 59, of West Monroe were held Sunday at
Hill Ridge Baptist Church near Crowville with the Rev. Charles Reed and the
Rev. Greg Clark officiating.
Interment followed in Crowville Masonic Cemetery under the direction of
Riser First national funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Rev. Polk died Friday, Nov. 20, 1999 at his residence following a sudden
illness.  He was a member of Cedar Crest Baptist Church , former pastor of
New Prospect Baptist Church in Dubach for 15 years and Boyd Avenue Baptist
Church in Casper, Wyoming for 15 years.  He was a past president of the
Wyoming Southern Baptist
Convention.  At the time of his death he was the operation manager at
KMCT-TV in West Monroe.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Vines Polk, West Monroe; son and
daughter-in-law Aaron and Stephanie Polk, Monroe; daughter and son-in-law,
Amy and Marty Barnum. Casper, Wyoming; sister, Evelyn Pylant, Crowville;
brothers, Charles Polk, Winnfield; Robert Polk, Crowville; James Polk, New
Iberia.
Pallbearers were Fay Polk, Ray Polk, Tommy Polk, Jerry Pylant, Bill
Pylant, and Dennis Pylant.
