Kevin Bates, Rev. Joe Stroud, and Rev. Jimmy Harper officiating. Interment will follow at Ogden Cemetery in Liddieville under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home of Winnsborro. Visitation will be Monday from 5-9 PM at the church. James Robert was born August 24, 1982 in Monroe, LA to James Dewey Polk and Barbara Ann Franks Shacklett and he passed from this life on December 6, 2008. He was a heavy equipment operator who loved hunting, fishing, and mudhogging. He was a great father. He loved his job, the outdoors, and life in general. He was preceded in death by his grandpa: Dewey Polk. He is survived by his wife Darby and their son Devin; father: James Dewey Polk of Winnsboro; mother: Barbara Shacklett of Tyler, TX; brother: Mitchell Johns of West Monroe; sister: Keisha Polk of Winnsboro; grandma: Beverly Polk of Winnsboro; grandparents: Rosie and C.O.
