He departed this earth on the morning of October 16, 2000. He was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church of Crowville. He was also a former deacon of Baskin First Baptist Church and North Central Baptist Church. He was Navy veteran of World War II and told of his baptism of the holy spirit as he traveled overseas to serve the country he so dearly loved. Mr. Reagan often referred to this as his "second birth", and he truly served the Lord in every way from that time until his passing. He was an educator of Franklin Parish for 35 years. He was an agriculture teacher and principal at Baskin High School. He also was principal of Central High School and Crowville High School. He later became Director of the Franklin Parish Media Center. Twenty-seven ago he was diagnosed with cancer, but the Lord saw fit to keep him here to serve a while longer. This extended illness did not dampen his spirit, the love of his country, the love of his students, or the love of his church friends and family.
