Robinson Funeral services for I.Q. Robinson Jr. 81, of Winnsboro were held Saturday at Mulhearn Funeral Home Chapel in Winnsboro with the Rev. Charles Langford officiating. Interment followed at Myrtle Memorial Cemetery in Winnsboro under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. Robinson died Thursday, April 6, 2000 at Franklin Medical Center. Mr. Robinson was a lifetime member of the La. Cattlemen's Association, former board member of the La. Soybean Association. Before his illness, he was an active member with Dixie Youth Baseball, and served as usher at the First United Methodist Church, where he was an active member. He also was a member of the Methodist Men's Sunday School Class. Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by his wife, Elouise McDuff Robinson; his parents, Mr.and Mrs. I.Q. Robinson, Sr.; and sisters, Elizabeth Tillotson, Katherine Gowan and Virginia Robinson. Survivors include three children, daughters Faith Phillips of Baton Rouge; Kathy Roane and husband Henry of Ruston; son, I.Q. "Bud" Robinson and wife Joy of Ferriday; sister, Lucile Mulhearn and husband Robert of Winnsboro; grandchildren, Jennifer Harris, Michael Phillips, Paige Reeder, Hank Roane; great-grandchildren, Betsey, Emily and Andrew Harris; Roane Reeder and Julia Roane. Pallbearers were Dr. George Gowan, Michael Phillips, Hank Roane, Fred Donaldson, Horace L. Robinson and Fred Mulhearn. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Winnsboro, 1502 West St., Winnsboro, La. 71295.
