Paul Kolb officiating. Interment followed at Ogden Cemetery under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home. Mr. Simon died Wednesday, August 23, 2000 at St. Francis Medical Center after an extended illness. He was a native of Franklin Parish, a resident of Monroe, served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Baptist Faith. Survivors included his wife of 36 years, Mary Louise Simon of Monroe; son, Eddie Simon of Monroe, two daughters, Kimberly Simon of Monroe and Andrea Simon Autenrieth of Colorado Springs, Colorado; five step-children; Phylis Foster, George Foster, Brenda Erwin, Kathy Pessnell and James Ezell; also a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Tim Adams, Bennie Singleton, John Winborne, Burley Humphries, Eddie Singleton and Paul Dale Turnage.
