Crayton Smith

Funeral services for Crayton Smith, 101, of Wisner were held Monday,
January 17, 2000 at Riser First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro,
with the Rev. Thomas Peoples and the Rev. Milton Williams officiating.
Mr. Smith died Friday, January 14, 2000.
Survivors include his six children and their spouses:  Lorraine Smith
Ballard of Shreveport;  Elvena and Don Frizziola of Durham, North
Carolina; Willard and Jean Smith of Shreveport;  Douglas and Phyllis 
Smith of Wisner;  Shelton and Sonja Smith of Shreveport; and Bill Smith
Of Wisner;  12 grandchildren;  25 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were grandsons, Pete Jenkins, Johnny Smith, Tommy Smith,
Robby Smith, Chuck Smith and Hugh Smith.  
Honorary pallbearers were John Livingston,  Boots Nelson and Devon Johnson.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to all of the
many friends and neighbors, and for the police escort, for kindness and
thoughtfulness during their time of sorrow.
