Interment followed at Providence Memorial Park, under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. Smith was born on June 14, 1926 in Franklin Parish. He died on January 25, 2000 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center after a long illness. He was the owner and operator of Smith Super Sak in Gilbert and a charter member of the Church's Board of Trustees. He loved his church, his family and his friends talking with them was his hobby. He was a good listener and was always ready to hear their news. Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Oneida Wollerson Smith; daughters, Joy Smith Parks and her husband Raymond; Marilyn Smith Reynolds and her husband Mitch; and Linda Smith, all of Winnsboro; sons, Rev. Wayne Smith and his wife Rita; Mark Smith and his wife Cindy, all of Winnsboro; grandchildren, David Smith amd wife Amy; Kristi Smith Rollins and husband Jeremy; Ryan Parks and wife Denise; Scott Parks and wife Kyla; Matt Reynolds, Erin Reynolds and Colby Sikes; great-grandchildren, Kasen Rollins and Tate Parks; brothers, Doc Smith and wife Maurice, Bob Smith and wife Katie; sisters, Annie Bell Lee and husband Rube; Elsie Brown and husband Earl; sister-in-law, Ruth Smith; brother-in-law, James Reeves; special niece, Debra Temple Finley and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were David Smithm Jeremy Rollins, Ryan Parks, Scott Parks, Matt Reynolds, Pete Wollerson and Clay Nichols.
