Willie Edward "Bill" Smith
 
 
Funeral services for Willie Edward "Bill" Smith, 82, of St. Joseph, were held 
Wednesday at Mulhearn Funeral Home Chapel in Winnsboro with the Rev. 
Kelly Barnett and Dr. Ray Robinson officiating.

Interment followed in Crowville Masonic Cemetery under the direction of 
Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro.

Mr. Smith died Tuesday, May 2, 2000, at North Monroe Hospital after a brief illness.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Bertie Mae Smith of St. Joseph; one 
daughter, Debbie Johnson of Bentonis, Mississippi; two sons, Nickey O'Neal 
Smith of Dublin, Georgia; Victor Ronnie Smith of Vicksburg, Mississippi;
one sister, Lena Nell Phillips of Crowville; one brother, Oscar Smith of Crowville;
eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Doyle Smith, Jerry Smith, Neal Smith, Brian Allen, Tom Hendricks, 
Jeff Johnson and John Mark Johnson.

Honorary pallbearer was Raymond Smith.
