Ron Charrier and the Rev. Jimmy Harper officiating. Interment followed at Crowville Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mrs. Smith died Thursday, November 23, 2000 at Franklin Medical Center. She was born July 16, 1912 at Pelahatchie, Mississippi and moved to Crowville when she was three years old and remained a lifelong resident. She was a homemaker and a member of Hill Ridge Baptist Church. Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her husband, Heuitt Smith; grandson, Larry Carson; son-in-law, Charles Ray Carson; 12 brothers and sisters. Survivors include her children, Evelyn and husband Marvin Womack; Mildred Carson all of Crowville; grandchildren, Tony Womack of Austin, Texas; Paul Womack, Jimmy Womack, Randy Carson and Kenneth Carson all of Crowville; sisters, Marie Pearce of Jonesboro; Mary Carbett of Crowville; Jessie Fox of Jonesboro and Catherine Martin of Oak Grove; brothers, Marvin Huff of Crowville, Irvin Huff of Houston, Texas; and Richard Huff of Bastrop; six great-grandchildren; five step-great- grandchildren; and four step-great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Bill McVay, J.W. Keys, S.C. Carson, Daryl Carson, Hilton Huff and Ricky Brown.
