Mattie Lou Thompson Swiney

Funeral services for Mattie Lou Thompson Swiney, 81, of Winnsboro will be
held Friday 11 a.m., at Pleasant Star Baptist Church in Winnsboro with the
Rev. Deacue Fields, Jr. officiating.  Visitation will be Thursday from 6:30
to 7:30 p.m. at the Richardson and Sims Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
Interment will follow in the Morning Star Cemetery, in Fort Necessity,
under the direction of Richardson and Sims Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Mrs. Swiney died Friday, Nov. 19, 1999 at Franklin Medical Center
following a long illness.
Survivors include her husband, William H. Swiney of Winnsboro; two
daughters, Ollie Mae Brown of Hayward, California; Myrtle Swiney Dunham of
Reno, Nevada;  four sons,
Robert Thompson, C.W. Swiney,  Ricky Swiney all of Winnsboro; Truman Swiney
of Tracy, California; one sister,  Azzie Lee Ross of West Monroe; brother,
Rudolph Thompson of West Monroe; 13 grandchildren and 13
great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Dennis Ross, Gregg Ross, Kenneth Ross, Willie Ross, James
Ross, James Scott, Eugene Jackson, Jr. and John Pleasant
