Mark D. Thames
 
Memorial services for Mark D. Thames, 44, were held Saturday at
Community Memorial Chapel in Winnsboro.
 
Mr. Thames died Tuesday, November 21, 2000 at Slidell Memorial 
Hospital after and extended illness.  He was a resident of St. Tammany
Parish, a native of Franklin Parish and a member of the Baptist Faith.  
He is preceded in death by his father Oscar Calvin Thames.
 
Survivors include his mother and step-father Shirley Temple Grant
and Shelby of Gilbert; grandmother, Lois Temple of Winnsboro; 
brothers, Jerry Lynn Thames of Crowville, Carl Ray Thames of 
Winnsboro;  sisters, Susie D. Newman of Lafayette; Keitha Oliver 
of Baton Rouge; Angie McMurray of Chase; Patricia Newman of 
Winnsboro; caregiver George McGowan of Lacombe; and a host 
of nieces and nephews.
