"Jim" Tims Funeral services for Linnes J. "Jim" Tims, 77, of Mangham were held Saturday, September 23, at Mangham Baptist Church with the Rev. Rick Altman, the Rev. John Williams, and the Rev. Jimmy Eppinette officiating. Interment followed at Gwin Cemetery with Military and Masonic Rites, under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr. Tims died Thrusday, September 21, 2000 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe. He was a native and resident of Richland Parish, retired general trainer with an oil company lab, member of Mangham Baptist Church, William Baker Masonic Lodge # 388 F&AM, American Legion, Purple Heart and VFW. He served with the United States Navy during WW II. Mr. Tims was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean Tims. Survivors include his children, James E. Tims of Dallas, Georgia; Barbara A. Graham and Timmy L. Tims both of Taft, California; Patricia L. Hales of Mangham; sister, Gwynette Williams of Winnsboro; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Paul Gandy, Jack Box, Jerry Gandy, Jim Lowery, Willie Crawford and Drew Rymal.
