TUCKER of Gilbert were conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 8, 1960 in the Methodist church in Gilbert. The Rev. Roland Friedrich, former Gilbert Methodist, minister, and the Rev. Rouse officiated. A member of Franklin Parish's pioneer Osborne family, Mis' Kate, as she was affectionately known by the many in whom she took a lively interest, was born July 11, 1881 in Tensas Parish. She was a charter member of both the First Methodist Church of Gilbert and of Mizpah chapter No. 15, Order of Eastern Star, Winnsboro. She currently belonged to Eloise chapter No. 76, OES. Death came to Mis' Kate on Sunday, November 6, 1960 in a local rest home after a brief illness. Special services for Mrs. TUCKER were conducted by the Eastern Star. Interment was in Ward Cemetery. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs Audrey TUCKER Duchesne, West Monroe, and Mrs. Marie Emily TUCKER Brocato, Gilbert; two sons, John Curtis TUCKER, Roanoke, Va., and William Griffin TUCKER, Mexico City, Mex.; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Richmond Hanks, William Latham, Norman Hewitt, Marion Shelton, W.A. Turnbough and Parker Turner. Additional Comments: Katie Cordill Osborne married Charles B. TUCKER February 14, 1900 in Franklin Parish,LA. Charles was born February 22, 1872 in Springplace,Murray County,GA.
