Robert Walton

Funeral services for Robert Walton, 80, of Newellton were 
held Thrusday at Bethany Baptist Church in Newellton with 
Rev. Roy Southern officiating.
Interment followed in Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton under the
direction of Riser First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Mr. Walton died Monday, January 31, 2000 at Summit Hospital in West
Monroe.  He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, a retired farmer, 
and retired owner of  Walton's Dry Goods.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Jewel Walton of Newellton;
sons, James R. Walton Jr. of Monroe; two granddaughters, Jessica Walton
and Amanda  Walton both of Monroe; three sisters, Ethyl Renfrow of Winnsboro; 
Syble Evans and  Opal Netherland both of West Monroe; one brother, Percy Walton 
of Haughton.
Pallbearers were Sidney Emfinger, William Glen Emfinger, Paul Evans, Hoyt Neal, 
Ray Nixon, Jerry Renfrow, Ronald Renfrow, and Ernie Warren.
