D.T. Guillory and Rev. J.A. Hawthorne officiating. Interment was in Harris Cemetery under the direction of Winnsboro Frist National Funeral Home. Mr. Welch was a veteran of World War II. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Elouise Bailey, Morgan City, Mrs. Louise Hebert, Chicksaw, Ala., Mrs. Alice Ruth Lay, Shreveport, and Mrs. Betty Jane Turner, Shreveport; two brothers, O.S. Welch, Winnsboro, and Oakley Welch, Eunice; four sisters, Mrs. Maggie Rollins, Winnsboro, Mrs. Evielean Russell, Winnsboro, Mrs. Hetty Hamilton, Anacoco, and Mrs. Flora Streeter, Waco, Tex; 9 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Grady Welch Jr., Edward Welch, T.M. Welch, Raymond Hamilton, Leo Nichols, Junior Barker, Simmie Ray Welch and A.J.
