Louella Boone Welch
 
Funeral services for Louella Boone Welch, 91, of Gilbert were held Saturday, 
September 16, at Kendricks Ferry Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Bruce 
Lofton and the Rev. A.J. Kimball officiating.
 
Interment followed at Oakley Cemetery under the direction of Community 
Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
 
Mrs. Welch died Thursday, September 14, 2000 at Franklin Medical Center.  
She was a native and resident of Franklin Parish, a homemaker and a charter 
member of Kendricks Ferry Pentecostal Church.  She is preceded in death by 
four children, Lois Lofton, Lurther Boone, Louis Boone and Dickey Welch.
 
Survivors include two children, Thomas L. Boone of Gilbert; Shirley Ann Lofton 
of Copperas Cove, Texas;  sisters, Viola Elkin of Winnsboro; Dell Dee Johns 
of Gilbert; Lillie Swindle of Jigger; brothers, Louis Kimball and J. W. Calvit both 
of Gilbert; Johnny Kimball of Ridgecrest; also a host of grandchildren,great-
grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
 
Pallbearers were Louis Boone, Stacy Boone, Eddie Boone, Darrell Boone, 
Tim Lofton and Breland Lofton Jr.
