Williams Funeral services for J.C. Williams, 73, of Winnsboro were held Monday at the Community Memorial Chapel with the Dr. Allan Miller and the Rev. Marion Collier officiating. Interment with Masonic Rites followed at Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mr/ Williams died Saturday, August 19, 2000 at his residence after and extended illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Franklin Parish, retired tool pusher and served in the United States Navy. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church and New Hope Masonic Lodge #328 F&AM. Survivors include his wife, Willane P. Williams of Winnsboro; sons, Mike Williams and wife Lorna; Greg Williams and wife Patricia all of Minden, La.; John Howard Williams of Decatur, Alabama; sisters, Pauline McFarlan and Dorothy Smith both of Gilbert; Louise Rowton of Jena; Irma Cicet of Santa Mole; and Nettie Remore of Baskin; brothers, Harry Williams of Andrews, Texas; Shelby Williams of Dumas, Arkansas; Rufus Williams of Dallas, Texas; and Eugene Williams of Minden; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Buddy Rhodes, Paul Rhodes, Ralph Gill, John W. Powell, Billy Sullivan and Sidney Williams.
