Van Windom officiating. Interment followed at Providence Cemetery near Roxie, Mississippi under the direction of Young's Funeral Home of Ferriday. Mr. Wimberly died Wednesday, October 25, 2000 at Roxie, Mississippi. He was a retired service claims officer for Veterans Affairs, a member of the American Legion, past president of Waterproof Rotary Club and La. Veteran Affairs Association, and served as secretary for U.S. Selective Service. He was also a U.S. Air Force retiree where he served in the Korean Conflict. Mr. Wimberly was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Wimberly and a sister, Cathryn Pacuillo. Survivors include his wife, Delores L. Wimberly; son, Tom F. Wimberly of Roxie; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; a twin brother, Will Wimberly of Meadville, Mississippi; sisters, Ellen Beth Miller of Natchez, Mississippi; Sallie Phillips of New Orleans; also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Pallbearers were Will Wimberly Jr, Sam W. Wimberly, John R. Wimberly, Robert W. Miller, John J. Miller and Robert C. James.
