W. Thomas, whose expenses were paid by a concern in Detroit Michigan, that is desirom of installing a pickle factory in Montgomery to that place to investigate the financial advantage of same. If matters look promising to Mr. Thomas, he will give the impression to the association and they will give official permission for the concern to begin with plans to take care of next years cucumber crop. At some time a display of Montgomery Cucumbers crop was inspected by this firm in Detroit and Mars. Wardlow, mayor of the town was written for information concerning the matter. Later they informed the association that they would be anxious to install a factory of the truckers would guarantee a one hundred and fifty acres of cucumbers next year. At a call meeting of the association an approximate census was taken of the acreage possible for next years crop and it was easy to see that the required amount would be provided with a possibility of an increase later. So the cucumber factory is ours--9 chances to 1--ours if we want it. One more stride toward further success to the Montgomery truckers.
