I cannot help on Raymond, but do have a group of Walkers buried in Grant Parish, LA ( My Great-Great Grandparents) , that I have been trying to find more ancestors and descendants of and I paste below the first generation in case someone can help me. Sincerely Bob Valentine SCROWL DOWN Descendants of H. (Hansford) D. Walker Generation No. 1 1. H. (HANSFORD) D.1 WALKER1 was born November 10, 1809 in SC, and died February 18, 1884 in Grant Parish, LA. He married ELIZABETH MEYERS1,2 September 08, 1830 in Lawrence Co., MS3. Notes for H. (HANSFORD) D. WALKER: BIOGRAPHY The year of birth of all of H. D. Walkers children are based on the ages given in the census records and some tombstones. Hansford may have had a brother, Willis Walker, living in Simpson Co. MS, see the 1850 census of this county , his wife's name was Irena. William , the next to last child was born in MS in 1853 and the last child Wilkins in LA in 1855. This would indicate that the family moved from MS to LA between 1853 and 1855. More About H. (HANSFORD) D. WALKER: Fact 1: 1884, Buried Grant Parish, LA, Guynes Cemetery. Notes for ELIZABETH MEYERS: BIOGRAPHY In the 1870 census of Grant Parish page 107 family # 49 is Elizabeth Walker with two of her children living with her, Irena age 21 and William P. age 19. Where is H. (Hansfod) D. Walker her husband? He did not die until 1884. Are they divorced ?, separated? or did the census taker fail to put his name down? More About ELIZABETH MEYERS: Fact 1: 1894, Grant Parish, LA, Guynes Cemetery. Children of H. WALKER and ELIZABETH MEYERS are: i. OLIVER PERRY2 WALKER, b. 1831, MS; d. November 27, 1916, Grant Parish, LA; m. EMILY WILLINGHAM, December 22, 1865, Rapides Parish, LA4. Notes for OLIVER PERRY WALKER: BIOGRAPHY Oliver and his wife Emiley can be found on the 1870 census of Grant Parish, LA page 27, family # 47. No children are listed , but Oliver's brother Wilkins is living with him. At the Big Creek cemetery in Grant Parish, LA his tombstone is marked as Perry. There is an Oliver P. born in 1875 buried there and a Oliver P., Jr. born in 1897. These are probably the son and grandson of Perry and Emley (Emily) Willingham. ANDREWS: Fact 1: 1923, Grant Parish, LA iii. MARY A. WALKER, b. 1839, MS. Notes for MARY A. WALKER: BIOGRAPHY Mary A. Walker is shown as 11 years old on the Lawrence Co. MS 1850 census. When this family is in Rapides Parish, LA in 1860 she is not shown on the census. She would have been about 21 years old in 1860, she could be married by then or she may have died. 2. iv. WILEY WALKER, b. May 12, 1842, MS; d. February 29, 1924, Grant Parish, LA. v. WYATT WALKER, b. 1844, MS. Notes for WYATT WALKER: BIOGRAPHY Name is spelled Wiat on one census. Notes for WILLIAM (WM. D.) WALKER: BIOGRAPHY In the 1860 census his age is given as 7 , in the 1870 census his age is given as 19 which fits the birth date on the tombstone perfectly. I also think this is the right William because he is in the same cemetery as H. D. Walker and his wife Elizabeth who had a son William this age. More About WILLIAM (WM. D.)
