All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** NEGRO MAN EMPLOYEE HORRIBLY MANGLED April 1914 Steve Kimball, a negro oiler at the Big Pine Sawmill at Colfax, was instantly killed and horribly mangled in the machinery of the mill about 7:30 Wednesday morning. He was assisting to put a belt on a pulley and getting caught in some way he was cut almost into mince meat in 2 seconds time. Both arms and both legs were cut entirely off, head severed almost from the trunk and his body cut entirely into in the middle. All in all the unfortunate man was one of the most terribly mutilated sights anyone has ever seen.
